It’s very important to take measures to prevent the development of cancerous cells, so we’ve consulted with our health experts and fitness trainers at the Stadium Gym to compile 3 active ways you can prevent breast cancer.

1.Exercise Regularly

Having a regular exercise routine that you can commit to is a great way of protecting yourself against breast cancer. Women who are overweight are more likely to develop breast cancer, which is why a frequent and consistent routine will help you to regulate and control weight gain. Try to stick to 150 minutes of moderate exercise on a weekly basis, which amounts to around 30 minutes 5 days a week. Any activity that makes you break a sweat and raises your heart rate is a good sign that you’re doing the right thing.

2. Make Water Your Drink of Choice

Regularly drinking 3 units of alcohol per day, such as a pint of beer or a large glass of wine can increase the risk of mouth, upper throat, breast and bowel cancers. Wine, beer and spirits can cause a lot of damage internally; so the less alcohol you drink, the lower the risk of cancer. When you’re feeling dehydrated after a long week at work or having a good time in the sun with friends, try as much as you can to cut down on your alcohol intake and consume more water. Look at it this way, you’ll avoid the miserable hangovers, save money and probably get a better night of rest.
